Chili Fest Brings Spice
"Chili is just one part of it. It's so much more than just a chili cook-off. We have great country music from singers like Sara Evans, Jason Michael Carroll and Sarah Johns," Carr offered. "We also have a brand new band called Lost Trailers and a local band called Wanted ... Chelsea Musick from Williamstown will also perform and Chelsea Orcutt from Swedesboro will sing the National Anthem." Musick, just 14 years old, is thrilled to be a part of the Chili Festival's music lineup. "I'm really honored to have the chance to do it," she said. "Rhone Carr got a hold of me and asked me if I wanted to sing at the festival. I said 'yes, without a doubt.'" This young singer has always had a passion for music and has been performing since she was 2. She was born in a town just 30 minutes outside of Nashville, Tenn. and has always felt a pull toward her "country roots." "I love country music ... Martina McBride, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Carrie Underwood. I love them," Musick said. "I also love Sara Evans. I can't believe I'm acutally opening up for her. I'm so pumped."
